Make A Difference - Pay It Forward

Have watched "Pay It Forward" in Year 2001 and coincidentally, happen to came across this movie again few days ago. It was a movie directed by Mimi Leder and released on March 2001 based on the novel of the same name by Catherine Ryan Hyde. The story is about a 12-years old young boy, Trevor attempts to make the world a better place after his teacher gives him that chance by an intriguing assignment - think of something to change the world and put it into action.

Trevor raised his concepts, conjures the notion of paying a favor not back, but forward:
#1 It has to be something that really helps people.
#2 Something they can't do by themselves.
#3 Do it for them, they do it for three other people.
Good deeds not with payback, but with new good deeds done to three new people and creating a charitable pyramid scheme.

At the movie's beginning, a journalist, Chris was giving a brand new Jaguar S-Type car by a total stranger on the street without in exchange of anything when Chris's old 1965 Ford Mustang was damaged in a car accident. For all of us, including Chris himself, will not be able to accept and understand it with a simple reason that "there's no free lunch in this world".

Quotes:
Trevor: "I guess it's hard for people who are so used to things the way they are - even if they're bad - to change. 'Cause they kind of give up. And when they do, everybody kind of loses."

Is it possible for one idea to change the world? Yes, I believe so but we have been brought up to think negatively and resistance to changes. If only, we are willing to take a step forward without expecting anything in return and we might make a difference around us.

Personally, I love this move as is a movie that connects heart-to-heart. With one simple idea and hope to bring a revolution around the world. Sadly that Trevor died from an inadvertently stabbing during boys fight. Otherwise, he could have done more great works in his life to influence people around him.

THE WAY TO HAPPINESS ...
KEEP OUR HEART FREE FROM HATE,
OUR MIND FREE OF WORRY,
LIVE SIMPLY .... EXPECT LITTLE .... AND GIVE MUCH

So, no matter how busy our world becomes ...
Don't lose sight of the little things we can do to make a difference.
